“Hey dad! It’s Friday! Pitch your work and your tent!” On the third Friday in October every year, dads are encouraged to pitch a tent and setup camp in their front yards, plan activities and meals with their families and neighbors and create memorable, fun, safe moments with their children!
Dads in the Hood is a grassroots community-based fatherhood initiative created by John F. Bourke in 1994 with a mission of raising community awareness of the role of fatherhood in creating a healthy, vital, compassionate world!
